About

The purpose of this website is to make information about accessible Braille nature trails and sensory gardens available to the public to increase awareness and use of the increasing number of such trails in the United States and around the world. The visually impaired and others with physical disabilities are found in every country and community in the world, but finding places for accessible outdoor experiences is challenging as many do not know they exist. These trails and gardens can be enjoyed by those with and without physical disabilities, connecting people to nature while educating about the importance of providing inclusive opportunities for the visually impaired and others with disabilities and also conserving public natural areas and gardens worldwide.
